We need to know Jesus Christ, not just as a personage of Biblical history, but as a living Savior who wants to be directly and personally involved in our lives. Our knowledge and the extent to which we apply what we know about Jesus will help us to navigate through life in a covenant prepared blessed living and an assurance of blissful eternity. Jesus is wonderful!

1. In rehearsing the lesson on prophecy and fulfillment, how can we be assured that prophecies yet to be fulfilled will come to pass?

Dependable and Infallible Author: God is dependable

The Perfect Spirit: The Spirit of God is perfect

Divinely Inspired: Prophecies are not mere fairy tales

Deliberate Words: God’s word are deliberate and goal oriented

Unfailing Words: God can never fail and His words are failure-proof

Purpose-Fulfilled: God’s word is out on a mission and will never miss it

Integrity of the past: Today is fulfilment of the spoken word

The future casting its shadows: The future is here, with abundance of the present

Incontrovertible evidence: You are a living witness of the power of the word

2. Using Psalm 143:10 and Philippians 2:13 as references, is it difficult for a Christian to do God’s will?

Christianity as an identity: You cannot produce what is not divinely given

Imparted Virtues: If the Spirit is within, the virtues will definitely manifest

Empowered: God is the Source. He empowers to deliver

Relationship: A relationship with God ensures the right spiritual communication

Faith: It is by faith, not of ourselves, to will and to do

Obedience: Our responsibility. It should be willingly and complete

The Source: Without God, we can do nothing. Be connected

Seeking: A desire to do should be followed up with a sincere and consistent seeking

Choice: Doing God’s will is a choice

Consecration: Consecration will back up our choice

All on the Altar: Anything you remove from the altar will hinder form doing God’s will

3. The good news of Jesus’ birth was made known to the shepherds by a heavenly host of angels. How is mankind today made knowledgeable of God’s love and plan of redemption?

Relative Language: God knows the right relative language that we understand best

Getting our focus & Attention: The main factor is our focus and attention

Reception is Key: How prepared are we to hear and receive?

Willingness is important: Willingness will ensure readiness

Ears that will hear: Some are hearing but cannot perceive.

Eyes that will see: Many eyes are looking but cannot see. Goes beyond the physical

It is of God to will and to do: God has done His own part to reveal His love and plan

How honest are you? Are you willing and ready to receive all that God has in store?

4. What qualities stand out in the example of the Wise Men in their search for Jesus? Describe why these same traits are valuable in a Christian’s life today.

Spiritual network: There is a spiritual frequency with which we need to operate

Spiritual Connection: Connection is made available through seeking for salvation

Spiritual Awareness: God is everywhere and uses several methods to reach out

Spiritual Preparation: Preparations precede manifestation

Spiritual Determination: Obstacles are what we see when our eyes are off the goal

Spiritual Expectation: What are you expecting? Expectation brings manifestation

Effort/Commitment: What are you ready to commit?

Consecration: Is your all on the altar?

Love-driven: Love will make a way. Love will carry us far

Giving: The best is best for God

Reverence: We honour God by seeking His will

Worship: An attitude of worship

5. Simeon was rewarded for his faithfulness when he saw the promise of God fulfilled in the Christ Child. Noting Hebrews 10:23, what correlation can be found between holding “fast the profession of our faith without wavering,” and God being faithful to His promised return to earth?

God is faithful: God is ever faithful, but are we faithful?

Waiting time is an investment: Waiting time is never a wasted time.

Inputs determines the output: What are you doing now? It will reflect the future

The journey of a million mile begins with a step: Just take it now

Watch your life and conduct every day: Day by day, we write our life’s history

Good Christian conducts: You want to have the best life? Godliness is a great gain

Will your anchor hold? Rain will fall, Sun will shine, storms will arise. Will you survive?

Faith for today: We have enough promises to face the issues of the day

Hope for the future: God is already ahead. Walk and work with Him

Living by faith: You may not be able to figure it or know the how. It is written…come to pass

Archenemy: Satan is the archenemy. He uses sin and worldliness

Spiritual Protection: The spiritual controls the physical. Best protection to acquire

8. We learned in the study of overcoming temptation that everyone is tempted, and that temptations come from Satan. How can we be assured of victory over temptation?

The why: It is not about you. God is fighting on your behalf for his Kingdom

What matters: Who are you, what is your choice, who is your Principal?

On which side are you fighting? On the victory side or on the defeating side?

Your identity: Have you secure your spiritual identity?

Know God: God is knocking and ready to make himself known

Have a relationship with God: It takes two to tango. You have a part to play

Know the enemies: Satan, Sin and worldliness. How are you dealing with these?

Know your armour: Basic experiences, prayer, the word, consecration…

Put on the whole armour: Put on the whole armour of God and stand

Choice: When you are faced with temptation, remember, you still have a choice

Under authority to issue authority: Subject yourself to God’s authority

Action: Just do it. Go ahead. Take the bold step

God will always make his Purpose known (Are you compliant for God’s use)

Covenant: God may enter into a specific covenant to fulfil his purpose

Vision: We need to perceive God’s revealed purpose

Mission: Turn God’s purpose into your mission and pursuer it passionately

Terms and conditions: God may give specific instructions.

Our part: Our part is to absolutely follow God’s instructions

God’s part: God’s part is a done deal

11. In studying the Beatitudes we find the thought of happiness in each of them. How does a person obtain this happiness in his own life?

Covenant Spiritual provision: Spiritual provision that require spiritual response

Response: God has no influence over our response and when.

Action: Beautitudes/Happiness is a reaction to our action and choices.

God’s part: God has already fulfilled his part. It is done!

Our part: The inputs of our decisions, choices, actions and reactions

Relationship: Know God personally. Does God know you?

Keeping on: Keep on with the terms and conditions. They are not unreasonable/difficult

12. After studying the parable of the sower and the seed, describe the kind of “soil” you yourself strive to be, and why.

Desire a good life: Productive and fruit bearing life style

The Best is best for me: God has nothing but the best in store for me

Input: What are the efforts that I need to make?

Output: God already promised the abundant life output

Planting: What am I planting today, what will it yield?

Reaping: What are the expected output, blessings and outcome?

Purpose: What is in it for God?

Vision & Mission: Is God’s purpose my vision and mission?

For God and His Kingdom: If it is for God and His Kingdom, will God fail? NO

JESUS, oh Jesus. Do you know Him today? You cannot turn him away…

Without him, how lost we would be!
